 Golden Knight Achievement Award

The Northern Valley Old Tappan Parent Teacher Student Organization is proud to announce it is now accepting applications for its scholarship program. This year the NVOT PTSO will present up to eight $1,000 Golden Knight awards to recognize students who have shown a consistent, strong work ethic throughout their years at NVOT, in academics as well as in service to school and community. Because this award is not solely focused on academic achievement, the NVOT- PTSO invites all students who have demonstrated this commitment to hard work and service to apply.

In order to be considered for the Golden Knight award, students must:

  • be an NVOT senior in good academic standing,
  • have parents/guardians who have been members of the PTSO for at least the last two academic years,
  • plan to attend a college or technical school in the fall of 2023 and complete all parts of the application by the designated deadline.

(Please note that all scholastic achievement information will be verified by the NVOT Guidance Department.)

The Golden Knight Achievement Award application consists of three parts:

  • The award application form
  • The award essay form
  • One recommendation form to be completed by an NVOT employee or community member to speak to the applicant’s accomplishments, work ethic and/or service experiences. Service experiences can be volunteer and/or work oriented.

Parts 1 and 2 must be emailed to the Guidance Department at espositoj@nvnet.org by April 7, 2023.

The recommendation form can be found here: https://forms.gle/RaUWWnZ7ghUaoBN78. Students should email the above google form link to the recommender.

Any questions may be directed to Robert Merrell, NVOT PTSO Scholarship Committee Chairperson at Robert.merrell@gmail.com.
