Hospitality/Staff Appreciation
Chair:   Rasha Areiqat
Description:  

Attend monthly Executive Board meetings.

Coordinate 2 Teacher Appreciation luncheons.  Organize any snacks for meetings.  Help Organize volunteers for the Senior Graduation Reception held for graduating seniors and their guests directly after the Graduation Ceremony.

 
SAT Prep Coordinator

Description:  

Keep track of virtual SAT Prep class registration and payments using the existing Google Form. Coordinate SAT/ACT bootcamp class.

 
Social Media

Description:  

Update our facebook, twitter and instagram accounts and reach out to newspapers when needed.

 
Website Advertising Committee

Description:  

Reach out to local businesses to see if they would like to advertise on our website or donate to our organization

 
Membership

Description:  

Attend monthly Executive Board Meetings.

Organize paperwork for input into paperless PTO.  Organize monies for deposit and give to Treasurer.  Attend initial KPA meeting to hand out and collect forms of members at meeting.  Give updates on information at PTSO meetings.  Supply a list of active senior student members to the Scholarship Chair.

 
Programs

Description:  

Attend monthly Executive Board meetings.

Coordinate with the Northern Valley Coalition sponsored Annual Talent Show. Research topics and programs to present to the Executive Board and Administration for students and parents.

 
Scholarships

Attend monthly Executive Board Meetings.

Manage the scholarship application. Usually in April, the application will be available to seniors. You will contact the Membership Chair to verify status and meet with the committee to review the applications.  When students are chosen contact Treasurer with information for checks to be written.  Pick up checks, deliver them to Guidance and present scholarships at Senior Night with President

 
Korean Parent Association

Description:  

The NVOT Korean-American Parents Association (KPA) is a parent run, volunteer organization that focuses on reaching out to our Korean-American community to create a better understanding of the school system and to bridge the cultural gap between parents, students and teachers.  We also strive to serve as a collective voice to address the concerns of many Korean- American families, as well as raising funds to improve the educational environment.  Our mission is to build effective partnerships within the school community through providing assistance and support.
